We made it!

Wow – we’re finally in Möhringen. 100 km from our last sleeping place, the red ‘Nature Friends House’ was truly a welcome sight after a long day, full of rain, wind, flat tires, broken gears, discussions with gun-owners, steep hills, sandy dirtpaths that call themselves bikeroads and temperatures around 5ºC… man, cycling for peace was hard!

But we also had beautiful countrysides, impressive cliff formations, adorable little medieval towns, the occasional ray of sun, wild deer and sheep beside the bike track, friendly locals, great rustic butcher shops, auto scooters on a village fair, successful political street action in the town square of Sigmaringen with lots of media attention, a tasty, homemade lunch in the local train station hall, visits to traditional German guesthouses, where we hid from the heavy rain for a cup of a hot tea, a spontaneous Indo-Nigerian dance party for Tina’s birthday and finally lots and lots of fun and laughter! Puh, what a day…

Thanks to our wonderful hosts at the Nature Friends house, who treated us to lasagna and real German Rote Grütze, we had a great evening, sitting around the big tables and already look forward to sleeping in real beds here.. after today, we really deserved it!
